Name: Kasai Rio [Pronounciation: Caa-Si]
Age: 21
Nation of Origin: Southern Water Tribe
Gender: Male
Bender: Waterbender, advanced.
Apperance: Kasai has always had the unfortunate feminine apperance that plauges some men. He is thin, especially at the waist, and a mere four feet, nine inches. While he is nicely toned, there is no noticble muscle on his body. His face is more oval than any other shape, and his ears are small, and rarely visible. Also, his face is soft, adding to his feminine apperance. In fact, from a distance, many have, and continue to, mistake him for a girl.
His hair is midnight black, with one white streak, which he burnt into his hair himself. His hair is unevenly cut, but as a whole, it reaches to just below his shoulder blades. It is naturally straight, with just the slightest curls in the ends. Kasai's eyes are a dark brown-hazel. Hazel because of the slightest touch of green that can be seen up close.
Kasai wears clothes with the accepted water tribe colors. A long sleeved, somewhat tight fitting shirt that is blue with white wave-shaped markings along the sides. The shirt itself splits off into two, rectangle shaped pieces that go down well to his knees. His pants are white, and somewhat baggy. On his left hand he wears a white glove, and a black metal plate. His feet are covered in furry, white and blue boots. On the calf part of these boots are two metal plates, much like the one he wears on his arm.
Personality: Kasai has what many people refer to as a 'little person' personality. While his temper is far from desirable at any time, it becomes doubly worse when he is around large muscular, or even just very tall, men. He believes that because of his feminine apperance and short stature he is seen as weak. This does not bode well with him, and it causes him to be short tempered, and to pick fights where they are unnecessary.
This also causes him to be insecure, and once again, tempermental around women. Outside of his temper, he is not an unkind or cruel man, but nor is he very sympathetic. He rarely helps anyone unless it can further his purpose, or they are in actual need of his help. In other words, a child or disabled person might be able to count on his help, but anyone who is able-bodied is on their own, as far as he is concerned.
Because of his personality, he has few friends, and trusts even fewer people. His trust is hard to gain and easier to lose.
History: Kasai was born to two Water Tribe citizens, both of whom are still alive and live peacefully in a small, comfortable home. He also has a brother who is older than him by two years. He hasn't seen his brother for six years, as his brother left the home a year before Kasai. His brother is largly to blame for Kasai's little man personality, as he used to tease him often for his short height, a rare trait in his family.
Kasai lived a normal childhood, except for the teasing he recieved from his brother and other children in his area. He went to a small school, and was often scolded for his loud mouth and angry behaivor. However, because of his belief that even the teachers picked on him because of his size and apperance, he rarely took what he or she said to heart.
At the age of fourteen, he began to see his life as repetitive and dull. He sought adventure, and at the age of sixteen, he finally left his household, deciding to see as much of the world as possible. His parents worried for him, but having seen their older son off only a year earlier, they knew that they could not stop him from making this decision. And so, armed with a bag packed with his favorite things, and supplies paid for by his parents, Kasai left his home, and has been back only a few times since.
Now, at the age of 21, he has much experiance behind him. He has seen every kingdom, and many of their outer villages.
Kasai's weapon is a sword. While it does taper to a point like most swords, about 3/4 of the way up the blade the blade deviates, creating a fish-hook like add-on to the weapon. The hilt is made of wood, and has not been painted, so it retains its light brown hue. He is fair with his weapon, having used it for many years. While he would never call himself a master with it, he is quite good.
Special Abilities: He can bend plants by using the water inside of them. However, he has not, and does not plan on learning bloodbending.
