It took seconds of facing the man for her arms to stretch toward her ears to knock out the unbearable sound. Ahhh! What is that noise!? As the ice below her shook uncontrollably, her instinct was to get as steady as possible, so she encased her feet inside the icy floor not knowing what was to come.
About the same amount of time it took her to encase her feet, the very ground underneath her sprung upward, sending shock into her mind. With her feet still encased in the ice and her mind in shock, she panicked for moments before calming herself. Time was of the essence. As she was already very high into the air, jumping was no solution. First thing was first: Get your legs out of the ice.
Running toward an edge of the ice she looked down, trying to focus on where Tyrone was. "There!" Keeping as much balance as she could, she held her breathe as she encased herself inside water she'd summoned from the ice beneath her. With the water slowing her movements, she jumped from the edge, the water she was encased in, floating in the sky. Keeping focus on the water along with Tyrone wasn't that hard as she motioned herself to rapidly levitate toward the man. At about ten feet from the ground, as holding her breathe became hard, she jumped out of the body of water, landing roughly on the ground, while the water head toward him.

Tyrone let out a surprised smile, this was the first time he'd seen such and advanced technique performed against him in a duel. It was new, it was incredible, and it proved that this girl was as great as he expected.
He released his hold over the giant ice above, and braced for the incoming water descending above. He looked over at Kyana in approval, as if to say *You've done great*. The water hit Tyrone hard, bringing him to his knees. He looked over to Kyana once more, with a smile. Then pointed upward toward the sky, as the huge block of ice now plummeted toward the pair.

Yes!! Finally got him dow-With a sudden look above her, seeing as she'd brought down the man, he no longer had control of the enormous block of ice. In trying to get in a hit, she'd managed to get herself into more trouble. Strangely, she thought she'd seen the man smile at her, reasons unknown.
Once again, time was of the essence. And this time, a far less amount. Running for it was out of the question, seeing as Tyrone was near the ground, so she did the next best thing. Run for Tyrone. He could probably tough the large block, but there was always the chance he couldn't. So she ran toward him.
She reached him with seconds to spare swinging her arms, hastily forming a thick, ice-made shield to encase them from the block. As it aggresively attacked the ground, she could feel the ice start to crack as she tried to keep it from collapsing. Within seconds it was done with and she rested her arms, her undeniably sore arms, as she tried to keep her breathing normal. "That was a close one." she says releasing a small laugh.

Tyrone stood up, soaked in water yet not uncomfortable at all. Water was his element, so it didn't worry him that he was soaked in it. A little achy, he stood tall and presented another challenging stance.
"One more, I think we can handle that...yeah?" Tyrone said.
Literally moments after he had said this, Nairu, his blue phoenix companion, could be seen flying over the horizon.
With a sigh, Tyrone lowered his attacking stance, and motioned his hand toward Kyana.
"Come with me, I have someone I want you to meet, he said as he walked past Kyana and over to the edge of the ice.
Nairu, was the last of the blue phoenix's. A rare beauty, Nairu landed with elegance just in front of Tyrone. She was large enough to ride upon, but that privilege was Tyrone's alone. Nairu gave a loving hum as she brushed up against Tyrone, then looked over to Kyana, sensing the new-found respect Tyrone had for him.
"We have a mental link, a kind of natural bond, Nairu and I." Tyrone said. He then began to stroke the beautiful blue phoenix, awaiting Kyana's response to the sudden intrusion to their duel.

With this intrusion within their duel, all Kyana could do was look in awe as she saw the magnificent bird. A very rare species indeed. She kept her distance from the large bird, hoping not to in anyway anger her. Oh how beautiful she is.
Within her own thoughts toward the bird, she listens to Tyrone's comments, still staring at the bird.
She looked toward the pair, understanding how special the pair's bond was. " She truely is a beautiful bird." She steps a few feet forward. "How on earth had you found her?" It was times like these where she'd wished she had her own companion. Well...there do seem to be plenty of penguins lying around...

"I rescued her, from fire nation poachers..."
Tyrone turned to Kyana, and with an intense look, gazed back and fourth between his companion and the water bending prodigy.
"Our duel will have to be cut short, I'm afraid. It seems my attention must be directed elsewhere. I hope you understand."
Tyrone turned to Nairu once more, and an immense glow came off the elegant blue phoenix. A blue orb seemed to appear from within the bird, which seemed to be transparent, containing nothing but water inside.
"This is one of the few eggs Nairu has, one of three to be exact. I want you to have it."
Nairu let out an elegant hum, that seemed almost musical, and in doing so the egg began to glow even more than before. Tyrone took hold of the glowing orb, and reached his hand out to Kyana.
"I feel you deserve this. Take care of it, and if ever we meet again, which I hope we do, Nairu's aura should influence it to hatch. Just keep up the training Kyana, strive reach your full potential, and the bird inside will respect you that much more.
An egg of a blue phoenix was indeed a valuable thing. They hatched when the chick felt the time was right. Sometimes within weeks, sometimes it could take a century.

This news was a shock to Kyana. An egg of the Blue Phoenix. What an honor to have been given one by Tyrone. She felt highly honored that the great chief was so kind. It was hard to get words out at first. She knew he understood. But it did raise a question.
"Thank you. Thank you so much." She looked at the egg and back to Tyrone. " So." She caresses the egg in her arms, moving closer to the man. "This is goodbye isn't it."
She waited for his answer. Even though it was obvious. It was weird to say but in meeting, talking, and dueling with the Northern Chief, she didn't want to say goodbye.

Tyrone smiled, and stroked Nairu with affection.
"Not goodbye, child. More like, see you soon." Nairu hummed a beautiful tune, which echoed perfectly on the ice walls around them.
"After all, we must finish our duel sometime." Tyrone said with a wink. This was the first time Tyrone had felt a sense of equality, not only in their bending, but in personality too. This girl was much like Tyrone was at her age. Full of potential, knowledge and a need to prove one's skill.
"I look forward to our next meeting, Kyana. Now, before I go, lets clean this place up a bit, return it to it's former beauty." And with that said, Tyrone stepped into his bending stance, and levitated the shards of ice around him, liquidizing them and sending them back into the ground. He took control of the larger chunk he had used in the duel, and with great strain, sent it back into the ground. He looked over at Kyana, "That's most of my mess." He said jokingly, then signaled Nairu to follow him.
"We will meet again young, perhaps sooner than you expect." Tyrone said, walking off toward town.
"Oh, and don't worry, I'll know where to find you when the time comes. Just keep up the training, and look after that egg. Nairu will let me know when it's time to return. And when that day comes, your egg will hatch. So long child" Tyrone said, without turning around. He was now nearing town, and could see his bodyguards and assistant franticly running toward him.

She could see his guards and advisor running toward him and Nairu as they said their "See you soons." It made her smile a little and kept in mind what the Chief had told her. Taking a longer stance, shifting her weight into both legs, she moved her hands to the piles of snow, transforming them into water, and downward to join the snow. And looked back at the city.
"Goodbye, Lord Tyrone." She mumbles under her breath.
It was her turn to head back to the city, this time with a new companion. The day was starting to darken a bit. The moon starting to show. She could only imagine how the duel would go under the moon. What started out to be just another day, soon proved otherwise.
