Name: Kio Ten Fong
Age: 18
Nation of Origin: Earth Kingdom (Bah Sing Se)
Gender: Boy
Bender? If so, what kind?: Master Earthbender with advanced metal bending
Group: Earth Kingdom Royalty (son of the earth king)
Apperance: See pic. for upper body. For his lower body Kio wears golden beggy pants with emerald green clouds weaved into them. His boots are emerald green with a golden trim. Kio's body type isnt neccisaraly big, but he is of average hight and muscular.
Personality: Lazy, in word that describes Kio’s out look on life. He has never been one to lift a finger unless absolutely needed and as such hates breaking a sweat. Kio has also citied upon his sarcastic tone and pranking attitude. Although he is a very laid back and easy going person, he has been placed by fate as a high standing member of the earth kingdom; he is the son of the king himself.
Were most of his family is uptight, Kio as stated is the complete opposite and thinks nothing of the fact that his father is the head of his nation. When asked what family he belongs to Kio often tried to dodge the question, not wanting to go through the hassle of people crowding him and such. Despite his attitude towards his position however, he has grown to accept it and use it as an excuse for his laziness; stating that “a prince shouldn’t have to do anything but wait to become king, that’s were everybody else comes in”.
So in summery this saying could describe his motto in life : “just go with the flow”.
History: Kio was born into royalty, and with that the prestige and training of the grandest earth benders the world has to offer. From the time Kio could walk he was instructed in the ways of war and earthbending. Never becoming interested in either Kio often goofed off and focused on other things instead of studying, despite this however; Kio was shown to be a genius in both areas. He quickly grasped concepts and stances, showing that he was indeed the son of the king. He may have been lazy and unwilling to exert himself but even then he learned at an amazing speed.
By the time the young prince turned 10 he was on equal playing field with most generals and could earthbend like a pro. Only continuing his studies because of his father Kio always looked for acceptance from his father, who never took an interest in his son. He saw Kio as a failure because of his sloth attitude and unwillingness to work hard, he didn’t care if the boy was a prodigy as a great king doesn’t have to be a great bender, but he does have to work hard to keep the people safe and happy.
Never finding love from his father or his peers Kio’s vision on not working hard to help others only grew stronger. Along with this distaste for work Kio developed a very sarcastic tone to his voice along with pranking others to gain even a little bit of attention. Continuing in his studies Kio at the age of 14 started to advance even further than his teachers, and was accepted as one of the greatest earthbending prodigies the world had seen and only one earthbender in his mind was stronger: the avatar Kalec himself. From the age of 15 to present (18) Kio has been trying to master metal bending and has almost cracked the art but even still he remains a lazy prankster. He has however, focused on one thing in his life, his bending. It is the only thing he thinks he will ever be good at (even though he is a brilliant strategist) and thus is the only thing he will ever exert any force in doing. His father still doesn’t hold him in high regards, but even if he doesn’t want to he will one day have to give the throne to Kio; he only prays that he will grow up before then.
RP SAMPLE: ( a role play I write a wile back with my Oc. Tarssin on T.A.S.)
Tarssin had been sent back to the front, to the same retched place as before. Oburamam; it was just as beautiful as before too, in all its ashes and glory. Being brought in a criminal cart is always a nice touch. Making a smile towards Mikus Tarssin looked down at his chains. He was about to make a name for himself, as a new man, a darker shadow of Tarssin. As he was let loose he was placed into a unit as a sergeant, having no intention of being nice to his troops though, so Tarssin didn’t really care. As he and his men walked to their destination they saw a group of fire nation mercenaries wearing black, marching towards the heart of the battle field. Deciding to ambush them Tarssin whispered “prepare for you’re first real taste of combat”. The men were nervous and Tarssin knew half wouldn’t hake it, but for the other half they would be molded into soldiers, the ultimate tools of war.
Stalking them with Mikus by his side he gave the signal, making the countdown with his fingers he reached 1 and the two bowmen started firing. The now seen to be none benders drew there Katana’s and charged the bowmen yelling. As they neared the bowmen Tarssin identified the leader and charged him. Sending two medium sized boulders his way. The other men Got out of their hiding places and ran in screaming and swinging their spears, swords ect. These none bender’s were extremely well trained with these long swords, and that was the first thing Tarssin noticed. Looking to his left wile the first boulder flew he seen one of their enemies get tackled by Mikus, “it’s over for him” Thought Tarssin as he sent the second boulder.
The two rocks were easily cut in half by the large sword of the man. Tarssin smirked as he slammed his foot down which created a fissure in the earth below the man's feet. Hitting the other foot down Tarssin sent another boulder his way. Along with the sound of steal hitting steal the swordsmen jumped over the fissure and landed over the boulder. Laughing the man shouted “you’ll have to do better than that, EARTH SCUM!” seeing the man evade the attacks again Tarssin ignored the words, not really caring about what he said. Three out of 15 of Tarssin’s men were down and only one out of six of the enemies were, and the only that did fall was to Mikus. The four remaining samurai were huddled together in the ruins of a burnt down house.
An egger man of Tarssin’s unit charged them and was cut down like a fly against a windshield. Next up was a bowmen, he fired three quick arrows at the group. The arrows were blocked and spit by the swords of the enemy. Who started running at Tarssin’s men in an arrow head formation. As they reached the earth troops one jumped over the first one and cut down a man before the others followed suit. Now only eight men were left against four, normally a no brainier who would but; now it seemed the odds were stacked in the fours favor.
Tarssin seen his men struggling and hoped that he still had at least one man in his unit left after this. Making a hard jab with his spear he felt the sword pass through it. The spear of intricately carved bone shattered and shards were spilled every were. He caught the swords man making a jabbing motion and yelled “YOU JUST MESSED UP” dashing to the left he dodged the blade then charged him and sent a knee into his gut. Following up with an elbow to the back of his head Tarssin knocked him out. Dusting off his hands Tarssin looked at his black Kimono with white out line and thought “wow, those look pretty cool. Also looks like I'm going to need a different weapon.” Picking up the sword he swung it a couple of times before saying “I like it” and sitting down to watch the show.
He men were failing horribly, now there was only seven left and three enemies (another of the foes was cut down by Mikus’s claws to the face). Staring down the foes the men hit the point Tarssin talked about. Adrenalin coursed through their veins giving them un human like reaction time. It fine tuned their muscles into killing machines. The first samurai to fall had a spear slammed into his neck, the second an arrow to the eye. Another of Tarssin’s fell but now it was five to two, and Tarssin’s troops now outmatched them. All thrusting at the same time Tarssin’s unit got the two that were left.
Two months passed and Tarssin’s unit now marched on a camp of fire nation recruits. There were twenty of them and only six of the unit. It was going to be a cake walk, the biggest treat was a beginner fire bender that lead the camp. The rest were fire nation farmers that were drafted into the army against their wills. Tarssin’s unit had taken the samurai’s uniforms and swords and now were called the Shiningami because of their deadly persition on the battle field, they were never sent on intense missions, like storm an advanced barracks; but were more than enough for most of the men the fire nation called soldiers.
As they reached the camp the cover of darkness took them right to the walls. Two men stood guard over the gates and were disposed of quickly, two of the shiningami ran up and ran them through with their blades. Silence was never broken as Tarssin stood by the gates and signaled the move, they made their way inside the camp. Most were asleep but their was a group by the fire that were still up. Tarssin nodded to the team marksmen, who pulled out a bow and fired off three quick shots that killed the sitting men. Walking through the camp the shiningami gave the sleeping men the seal of silent death as they made their way through. As they got to the middle of the camp they were spotted. The man only got off a shriek but it was enough to alert the camp. The fire nation Troops came out swinging, and that was when Tarssin caught the fire bender in his sights. Running with his swords sheathed he ducked a jab of a sword but was caught by a stream of fire in front of the face. As the fire dissipated Tarssin yelled in pain as Mikus jumped out of nowhere and tackled the fire bender, claws a swinging.
After the camp was set a flame the unit checked out Tarssin’s eyes, they were red now. His retinas had filled with crimson blood but the whites of his eyes were still white. It was a weird affect from having fire flashed at you’re eyes, but it had made him only able to see blurs. At night when they slept Tarssin yelled out in pain and due to the fact that he could barely see. After a week straight of painful suffering and training his earthbending so he could you’re it to strengthen his sight, he was finally able to see again. Although it was different from how he used to see. Everything was red now, and he could only see things that were on the ground clearly, anything in the sky he could still see but it was fuzzy; almost like a runny painting.
His hair had gone black from the stress of relearning how to SEE and he had grown it in, for the past few months. Now it came down past his eyes and was fairly messy. When the Shiningami were sent back to base camp they were told that do to their outstanding duty and sacrifice they were being giving a term of leave. They were given two months off duty, and told that when they came back they were going to be training a new batch of soldiers. The army was making the shiningami into a branch of their division, the elite forces of the earth kingdom in Oburamam. So Tarssin took his leave and is now in Ba sing se.
