(Sorry for the late reply. Too much homework. >.<)
The boy flew back, flaming as voices raised in panic. The fire wall had risen to the ceiling and had engulfed it and the floor it was standing on, in flames. It created a neat barrier between the inside of the room and the door with Kassa and Takumi situated on the side with the exit and the others trapped inside.
Takumi covered his mouth and nose with his sleeve, lightly coughing at the smoke that was beginning to fill the room. "Lady Kassa?" His voice was slightly muffled. "I have no doubt that probably wasn't intended but what are we to do now?"
He wasn't keen on leaving the men to die a painful, fiery death in that room. At the same time, he was quite helpless to do much else. He noticed the still, unconcious body of one of the waterbender's friends still on their side and within reach. He kneeled to shake him awake.

OOC: Its fine, I understand. Lawls =3
IC:
Kassa watched with growing dread as the wall grew and grew. She could hear the men on the other side yelling with panic, and she could feel that same panic blossoming in her. So much fire, there was no way she could bring that back, or even control it. And suddenly she could remember another time, when she was younger, back when she had first discovered what she was. She had gotten angry, and it had been just like this. Fire everywhere, fire she couldn't control. One of the priests had lost their lives that day.
She fell into a terrified stupor. She was going to kill someone again. Multiple someones, even. She and Takumi could escape, of course, but what about the others? They may be criminals, but she hadn't really wanted to hurt them. She had lashed out in anger, something firebenders should never do, as it could cause true destruction. How was she going to get out of this? How was she going to get the others out? She could just leave them to their own devices...but what kind of person would that make her?
Takumi's voice, sudden and somewhat muffled, came through her stupor, and she glanced at him with wide eyes. Realizing that she was letting yet another emotion rule her, and that could only lead to more problems. She had to think about this logically.
She glanced at the growing fire, and got an idea. She couldn't stop it, but she might be able to make a pathway for the others to get out. She pulled her hands back and forth in a sort of sideways swimming motion, and the fire followed, creating a flameless path through the middle.
"Quickly, get out through the door." She commanded with urgency. "Takumi," She continued in a quieter voice, "I can't stop it, we have to get out of here."

Takumi nodded dutifully and, hefting the boy up with a bit of difficulty - he was no small child and Takumi had probably never carried anyone personally before in his life - left through the door. Setting the boy down, perhaps not as gently as he meant to, he watched as the occupants of the flaming room quickly rushed out upon the opening. His lips quirked wryly at the odd bumps under their clothes, aware that they were the illegal goods. They were a stubborn bunch, if nothing else. He noticed they were immediately dispersing into the crowd that was beginning to gather at the smoke and thought they were acting wisely; he already spied the more local officials approaching.
He ducked in a nearby alleyway and removed his outer robes signifying his status, folding the cloth and stowing it away. He still didn't blend in quite as well as Lady Kassa, his clothes underneath of were dark red silk and still more distinguished than the normal peasant. He wondered how the avatar had retrieved the rough clothes of her own, knowing the temple she resided at provided her with the finest clothes. Shrugging off the mystery for now, he was about to exit the alley to see if Kassa had already exited the burning building before he was stopped by one of the men he had recognized as one of his regular contacts in the room.
The man pulled him back into the shadows and whispered, "He's recruiting."
Takumi nodded, understanding. "I see. Sozin's comet is drawing near, so I supposed it's to be expected. Who so far?"
"This girl I believed is named Oni. And this boy called Roi Hemi."
Takumi watched his contact with unreadable dark red eyes. 'So then,' he thought. 'The Order of Ozai's Kumori's supposed assassin neice and the Fire Lord's vengeful nephew. This may become interesting. I'm actually looking forward to this little experiment. I wonder if that unstable professor will truly suceed...' A slow, mysterious smile spread on his face as Takumi clapped his informant amiably on the shoulder.
"Good work. I can expect to be wholly informed of any new changes?"
He nodded. "Of course, Master Takumi."
Smiling, Takumi headed back out into the open light, as his contact expertly disappeared behind him. He looked harmlessly about for the avatar, hoping he hadn't lost her. "Lady Kassa?"
